Polyurethane is tougher and more durable than rubber, with stronger wear resistance. It is also resistant to water, oil, and grease, and will retain its original shape even after being heavily compressed. In short, polyurethane reduces deflection, making it easier to put the power down. While the tradeoff is an increase in NVH, the benefits mentioned above far outweigh the small compromise in ride comfort. With a polyurethane durometer of 80A, our mounts are perfect for your track exploits. For daily driven applications, we also offer a less aggressive mount with a durometer rating of 70A (ES#2859359).
